Our Manufacturing Client have a new position for a dedicated and pragmatic Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Manager to join their team. This role is standalone and would ideally suit a SHE Officer who feels ready to take on the responsibility of a management role. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and the environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's SHE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with department heads to create and enforce safety and environmental best practices.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events to determine the root causes and develop strategies for improving our ways of working.
- Monitor and report on key SHE performance metrics to senior management.
- Develop and deliver SHE training programs for employees at all levels.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the company's SHE program remains effective and current.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
- Proven experience working in a SHE role in manufacturing is essential
- Strong knowledge of national safety and environmental regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Pragmatic and change-oriented approach to SHE activities
