Role Overview:
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in providing accurate costings for both new and existing customers. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving and reviewing Purchase Order Requisitions from customers.
- Preparing estimates from client enquiry packages for review and pricing by the Estimating Manager.
- Reviewing client specifications.
- Preparing and presenting quotations.
- Liaising with manufacturing departments during the preparation of bid documents.
- Coordinating between departments and suppliers.
- Reviewing and analysing client requests for proposals (RFPs) and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Collaborating with engineering, sales, project management, and other internal teams to gather necessary information for proposal development.
- Developing detailed and accurate technical and commercial proposals, including scope of work, cost estimates, schedules, and project plans.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements, and industry standards in all proposals.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and technical advancements.
- Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain necessary quotations and technical data.
- Managing multiple proposal projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and submission.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in an estimating and/or sales role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A good understanding of welds, fabrication, and stainless alloys is a distinct advantage.
