Description

Due to continued growth within our client’s Sheffield sites, we are seeking a skilled IT professional to provide primary 1st line technical support, assistance, and advice to end users across various locations. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of Office Automation tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support and advice for users at the Sheffield and Burton sites, troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues.
- Serve as the IT subject matter expert (SME) on site, assisting with the development and implementation of Microsoft Office 365 Automation tools and other software projects in alignment with the overall business IT plan.
- Offer support for user systems and applications, including Windows 10/11, Active Directory, LAN, Wi-Fi, and hosted O365 solutions.
- Provide IT support for shop-floor control and monitoring devices such as SFDC PCs and CNC/CMM device control units.
- Manage user accounts, e-mail accounts, file and folder administration, and general user administration.
- Collaborate with the wider IT team to deliver world-class business support.
- Handle the installation and configuration of desktop hardware and software to meet agreed security standards, as well as decommissioning redundant equipment.
- Support the implementation and further development of business systems and help develop automated business processes and reporting tools.
- Document development processes and assist in the preparation of other IT system-related documentation.
- Work alongside the Business System support team to ensure the smooth functioning of user systems and software.

Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a user-facing support environment.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to progress.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, delivering results within agreed timescales.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiarity with Office Automation and Low-code Development tools such as Forms, Flow, Power BI, and others.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent organisational, oral, and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, delivering a high level of service with professionalism and accountability.
