An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the senior leadership team of one of our clients. KL Talent Solutions Ltd is recruiting an experienced Operations Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading operations, driving continuous improvement, increasing productivity and supporting commercial growth. You will work closely with and lead a skilled team across all levels of the organisation. This role combines hands-on operational planning with high-level strategic input and plays a key part in the long-term success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate operational activities across departments to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations
  • Promote a positive business culture and company values
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and best practices
  • Line manage and develop operational staff, fostering teamwork, continuous improvement and high performance
  • Monitor KPIs and operational performance, identifying improvements and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on forecasting and resource planning
  • Promote and maintain health & safety best practice across the business
  • Oversee supply chain operations, inventory management and vendor relationships
  • Lead support services to improve productivity, quality, employee relations, industrial relations and customer satisfaction
  • Deliver accurate and timely operational reports
  • Work with the senior leadership team to resolve operational challenges
  • Support new business development initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar senior operational role is essential
  • A CMI qualification or similar senior leadership qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential
