KL Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Central Planner to join a busy and growing transport operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous planning or transport experience to join a fast-paced environment where organisation, communication and attention to detail are key. The successful candidate will play an important role within a centralised planning team, supporting the day-to-day routing and scheduling of vehicles while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance standards are maintained.
The role will involve scheduling vehicles across allocated regions, managing driver holidays and absences, coordinating driver briefings and debriefings, and ensuring vehicles are available for scheduled maintenance and compliance requirements. You will also support fuel stock management, produce operational reports and work closely with internal teams to ensure planning objectives are achieved.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within transport planning, logistics or a similar operational environment, alongside strong organisational, communication and IT skills. You should be able to work under pressure, prioritise workloads effectively and maintain a proactive and team-focused approach. A CPC qualification, ILM or CMI Level 3 qualification, or previous experience within fuel distribution would be advantageous but not essential.
This position offers a competitive salary of £30,000 alongside the opportunity to join a supportive and growing business environment.
