KL Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a highly successful business in North Yorkshire. Our client, a leader in the logistics sector, employs over 2000 dedicated staff and operates a robust logistics arm. With over 400 vehicles in their fleet, they provide top-tier supply chain management, storage, and distribution services.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Traffic Manager to join our client’s dynamic team based in Wakefield. The ideal candidate will be a CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) holder and will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the transport team, ensuring the efficient and effective management of the fleet and logistics services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management: Oversee the operations of a fleet of 21 vehicles, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Logistics Planning: Develop and implement effective logistics plans to optimise the use of resources across two warehouses and enhance operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Working with the Transport Manager to lead, mentor, and manage a team of transport planners and drivers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities are in line with CPC regulations and company policies.
- Customer Service: Maintain high levels of customer service, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services to clients.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
- CPC Holder: Mandatory requirement for the role.
- Experience: Proven experience in transport planning or traffic management within a logistics environment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
