Description
My client is looking for an organised and detail-focused Order Processing Coordinator to join their head office team in Thornaby. This role is responsible for managing customer orders from confirmation through to supplier processing, delivery and installation. As many of the company’s products are made to order, accuracy is essential, with every detail carefully checked before being submitted to suppliers.
The position would suit someone who enjoys administration, problem-solving and working with technical product information. Previous experience within the windows and doors industry is not essential, as full product and systems training will be provided. However, candidates must be comfortable learning detailed product information and working accurately within a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer orders accurately, reviewing specifications and ensuring all information is correct before supplier submission. The role will involve liaising with suppliers regarding live orders, delivery updates, amendments and queries, while also speaking with both retail and trade customers to confirm order information where required. You will help manage orders from survey stage through to installation or delivery, ensuring customers are kept informed throughout the process. Maintaining accurate internal records and updating systems correctly will form a key part of the role, alongside working closely with sales teams, customer service colleagues, suppliers and installation partners.
My client is looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate and confident working with detailed information. Previous experience within order processing, administration, data entry, scheduling, logistics, manufacturing administration, trade counter support, technical administration, sales support or customer service would be highly beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will be confident checking information carefully, spotting potential errors before they become issues, and willing to learn new products and internal processes.
