KL Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, a leading house builder known for delivering high-quality residential developments. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial management of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Management: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts to maintain financial control throughout project lifecycles.
- Procurement & Contracts: Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract negotiations to secure the best value.
- Valuations & Variations: Assess and approve subcontractor applications for payment, variations, and final accounts.
- Risk Management: Identify potential financial and contractual risks, providing recommendations to mitigate them.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present financial reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with site managers, project teams, and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the housebuilding or construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC) and procurement processes.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree in Quantity Surveying, RICS accreditation preferred).
