KL Talent Solutions are proud to be partnering with a leading provider of affordable housing in the search for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Tyne and Wear.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established business delivering affordable housing, regeneration, residential, and refurbishment projects across the region.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring financial performance, cost control, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you will support the successful delivery of projects while helping to protect and maximise company profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and financial performance of projects
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and valuations
- Ensure effective cost control and budget management
- Manage subcontractor procurement and payments
- Support contractual administration across NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors
About You
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor ready to move into a senior role or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Experience within affordable housing, regeneration, residential, refurbishment, or retrofit projects
- Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
